Why do the options in the FIOS speed test not match the speeds offered by FIOS?

probably just human error.   try to pick the one that most closely resembles you're subscribed speed plan.   make sure you're running your test in internet explorer, using a hardwired pc (not wireless) and that you've fully optimized your PC for the fios speeds at http://verizon.net/optimize or using the verizon in home agent software program

You should try this (link below) version Of Verizon's speedtest, it doesn't have those confusing options.  I think what you found must be an older speedtest version they still have hanging around.
