I'm not especially savvy here, so i beg your forgiveness if my question show my naivete.
In the past I have used AOL ftp as well as RCN ftp to post images
When I used AOL's ftp server space I would post to the server using a file name.
When I wanted to view all the files I had posted on my ftp space (or create alink to Ebay I would use the following address for that picture:
members.aol.com/my name/
I would the see the entire collection of my posted files, and could click on any one individually to see it.
Similarly with RCN I'd access my own files using:
users.rcn.com/my name/
Cant seem to do the same with fios. can anyone recommend the url to view my postings from outside?s

#1 You can use the site builder OR FTP to upload to Verizon's Web Space.
http://www2.verizon.net/myaccount/manage/sitebuilder/ftp_info.asp
#2 Please only give to other users the HTTP url that Verizon gives to you. Do not give to other users the FTP URL, since this will not help them.

Thanks for your feedback. I was a little unclear in representing my problem
I HAVE NO PROBLEM PLACING MY IMAGE FILES ONTO THE RIOS SERVE
i JUST DONT KNOW WHAT ADDRESS TO GIVE PEOPLE TO VIEW THE FILE.
like i said, when it was a file on aol, i would give out the address of the file as:
members.aol.com/(my name)/(file name).jpg and the image would come up
what is the generic code for files that live on the FIOS server?

The URL for your web space on Verizon is
http://mysite.verizon.net/verizonid/xxxxx
verizonid is your logon name for Verizon (usually the xxx part of your email address, such as xxx@verizon.net).
xxxx is the file you want such as index.htm, or image.jpg........
For example my 'home page' is http://mysite.verizon.net/mattheww50/index.htm
(nothing very exciting there, and I have no problems with that page being visible to public)...
You may have to create your verizon web space if you haven't already done so.
go to www.verizon.net, and logon to your account, and then go to the my account tab...
There are also details there about how to use FTP etc...

If jmw1950's response doesn't answer your question, you might want to look at this thread. Seems like a similar question, and I think the answer will be helpful for you.
