I have been using Verizon FiOS for a long time, and the cost has been rising over time. In the most recent bill (For November), the total new charges were 79.99, which is another increase after paying 72.99 for many months. At the same time, I received this mail that says FiOS TV and Internet for 79.99 per month. I am not understanding the cost behind those. Since I am using only the internet, not the TV, shouldn't the cost of the internet be cheaper than TV and Internet combined? Or is there something I am missing? And why is there another raise in the cost of the internet?

Fios prices recently went up so unless you are locked into a contract prices could go up. Depends on the offer at the time of sign up.
Also bundling is always cheaper then stand alone services, but of course it's extra for the equipment. So even though it says $79.99 for internet and tv it will be more because of the needed equipment for tv.
