FiOS installation - inaccessible garage

Hello,

I'm hoping to have FiOS Triple Play installed at my mother's house. One side of her garage, where the circuit breaker panel resides, is currently being used as storage and unfortunately completely inaccessible. In other words, the technicians won't be able to install any equipment (e.g., power supply, etc.) there or even access that area for that matter. Are there other options in terms of places for installing the power supply and other equipment or is she out of luck and cannot have FiOS installed at her house?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

There are many.  You don't actually require proximity to the main electrical panel for FiOS, although that's fairly common.  Instead you must provide sufficient space for the ONT itself, plus electrical power for the ONT and associated devices.  Often this only means a single household receptacle.

Thus you can locate the gear in a basement, an attic, or just about any convenient place.  However the installation requires that Verizon equipment be connected to your coax distribution wiring, your telephone wiring, and in some cases your Ethernet wiring.  If for example all existing coax and telco wiring terminates on the outside of the building, there must be a method to connect these wiring arrays to the ONT.  The typical Verizon install tech is well acquainted with these situations and will be able to address them successfully.  However it won't hurt to discuss these issues with Verizon personnel prior to the install so the tech has some idea of your situation.  If you're prepared for minor mixups and just address them as they come up, your install will go well

Here are a few links to installation details that should give you a more comprehensive view of what's involved:
