hey all thanks for your help over the last month or so i finally got fios installed yesterday 35/35 plan with ultimate hd package and digital voice..everything is working perfect right now
hitting 43/38 on most speed tests
i got a rev f actiontec with my install
my question is besides port forwarding any settings i should set in the router to make it run as fast as possible in terms of speed and getting the most out of torrent use
also what are the best settings for this router/this plan in utorrent i already did my speed limits
but curious about these setting recommendations
global max number of connections
max number of connected peers per torrent
number of upload slots per torrent
These are the items that you will be most concerned with. Based on the NAT table size in the REV, F. Not sure what that is, and you may start with default or aggressive numbers and adjust them down to get better thru put or prevent lock ups. Something you will need to play with. Perhaps there are some other torrent users that could provide better recommendations.
