So, I had FIOS (only Internet, via Ethernet, not COAX) installed today in my home in Florida and after the tech set it up, the internet kept dropping. Looking at my ONT, it seems the data light kept turning off and on again and when it was off, I'd be Thankfully I he gave me his personal cell so after his shift ended he was kind enough to come back and he replaced both the backup battery unit and the ONT (Model i-211m-k). However, it's still going in and out. And it goes out when the data light goes out. If the data light goes out (the rest of the lights come on stay solid green as normal) the internet drops. I have to keep resetting the ONT or wait until the data light comes back, at which point I'll have internet but only for a stretch of 10-20 minutes. Then it goes out, rinse, repeat. Any advice?
You probably need a tech visit. Either the ONT is bad or the signal on the fiber to the ONT is bad.
