Flashing Red Fail Light on ONT

Transferred services to new home - was told a tech install is required. Previous homeowner had service - do I need a tech? I’ve unplugged the ONT, but the red fail light is still flashing.

The 612 is limited to 75/75 mbps. If your speed is higher then that is why the tech visit is required.

Currently scheduled to have a tech out on 30 nov as a place holder until CDC lifts restrictions.  Model of ONT is 612A.
