I am paying FIOS prices but getting less than DSL speeds... and verizon refuses to fix the problem. There are always hoops to be jumped through, but they always take my payment. What options to I have, if I need to have internet??
Verizon's solution? I should renew my contract!! And try their tripple play! I used to have the doubble play and it didn't work!!

Just a friendly reminder, this is a forum where users help other users. If you are having an issue with your Verizon service, you can use the Verizon Troubleshooter to fix and report issues with your Verizon Phone, FiOS TV, or Internet Service, as well as to schedule a repair, here is the link:

You can find tools on the Verizon Residential Support page that may help you diagnose your issue:

How are you testing?
Verizon only guarantees service via wired connection and on their network.
So to best determine what speed you are getting, connect a device via ethernet to router. Make sure nothing else is doing any downloads.
Run test to speedtest.verizon.net
If that does not give you the speed you have paid for, then contact Verizon as noted.
BTW, are you using your own roouter or Verizon?
How is it connected to ONT?
Did this just start or has it been going on for a while?
