G1100 Ethernet port speed low

Newbie

I have Verizon FIOS TV and Internet service. Internet speed in my plan is 500 Mbps uplink/downlink. I have Coax connection and Ethernet connection from ONT box (outside house) to my G1100 modem. G1100 modem is supplied by Verizon.

TV service is running fine however running speed test with Verizon URL

(https://www.verizon.com/speedtest/) gives me 123Mbps downlink and 7Mbps uplink.

My PC is connected directly to G1100 Ethernet Port (no other device is connected and wifi is switched off on the Verizon router). WLAN is connected to outside box.

Worked with Verizon tech support for an hour, he did reset my router and ONT box remotely but no difference in  my internet speed over LAN.

I checked my wire from ONT to WLAN is cat 5E. Also my wire from LAN port to my laptop is cat 5E.

Looking for help to see reason for low speed.

The Verizon speed test provides two results.  One from their server to the router, and one from their server to the test device (i.e. computer.) Was the 123/7 result on the router or device test?  If it was the device, what does the router test report?

If it is from the router test, try moving the router close to the ONT and test with different Ethernet cables.  The idea is to remove all potential Ethernet cable and jack problems from the test.  If it continues to test at such slow speed with a known good cable, or several different cables, you need to go back to Verizon support.  For best results, use their chat or contact social media support.  Social media support can be reached by tweeting @verizonsupport or positing over in https://www.dslreports.com/forum/vzdirect

If the slow speeds are on the device test only, that tells us the issue is between your router and the device.  In that case, try other devices.  Also report on how your WiFi devices perform.  You can use non-Verizon speed tests, too.  I like https://fast.com.

If you were to bypass the NAT router and have an active Internet Connection, what happens in terms of the speed (stays the same or more speed [download and or upload])?
