G1100 Router disconnects randomly on wired connection

Message 1 of 4

Hello folks,

My old router, which I still have, the Actiontec, has never dropped a connection in years... I'm not even exagerating.

I just received my new router, the G1100 from Verizon and a few hours in, I lost my connection.

After waiting a few minutes, the connection come back up.

Then after about half an hour, again, lost the connection...

My setup is pretty basic.

Coax into the router (only need the coax), then my ethernet cable (in port 1) from the router to the computer.

That's it.

When the connection is dropped, I see the router globe light in RED and I cannot get to the router page (192.168.1.1). After a few seconds, the globe blinks white then both the globe and WiFi lights go solid white (signaling that is back to normal).

During my last connection dropped, I saved the Advanced System Logging from the router and I grabbed around the time the connection was lost, 1:14AM-ish.

Can anybody help me with this issue?

Below is the log:

I just received my new G1100 router today and already, I am seeing dropped connections with my 204GHZ WAP.  I have had to reboot and had to go throug the entire setup process for my wireless security camera.  The online chat person was not skilled enough to answer some of my more technical questions.  I keep seeing the following in the system logs:

Nov 5 12:12:17 2015 named[2075] err<139> zone localhost/IN/guest-clients: not loaded due to errors.

Nov 5 12:12:17 2015 named[2075] err<139> zone localhost/IN/guest-clients: loading from master file localhost.zone failed: file not found

Nov 5 12:12:17 2015 named[2075] err<139> zone 127.in-addr.arpa/IN/guest-clients: not loaded due to errors.

Nov 5 12:12:17 2015 named[2075] err<139> zone 127.in-addr.arpa/IN/guest-clients: loading from master file 127.zone failed: file not found

Well, 5-years later and I'm seeing the same issues.
