Which option is best for coax coming in from ont with fios internet only service? Is it better to have Ethernet directly from ont to google WiFi or works as well connected to fios router? I’ve seen many posts online on multiple options on this can be done but wasn’t sure what is considered the best for WiFi performance with no impacts to fios internet connectivity?
Typically when using a third party router, and if you don't have FiOS TV, it's best to get Ethernet from the ONT and connect your third party router directly to the ONT with Ethernet. This is to both help keep latency low, the overall hook-up less complex, and to allow for speeds greater than 100Mbps to be provisioned and received.
