Apparently I spoke too soon. Once again this evening, pings spiked back up into the 200ms + range.

And the saga continues...
4 days now without stable pings. This morning at 6am and for most of the day, pings were pretty low (10-75ms). Post-6pm EST, pings are once again rising into the 200ms range on my 2nd hop (74.108.26.1). Seems like a load problem to me given that off-peak hours are often okay, and once most New Yorkers return home from work in the evenings things fall apart again.
I've called tech support several times now and I believe we are at the "escalated" stage with a network tech/engineer looking into the the problem. That said, I've been expecting a call back for almost 24 hours now. We'll see what they have to say tomorrow.
Anyone else on the Upper East Side of Manhattan out there and having trouble?
