Home Network

Currently I am on FIOS internet and I'm using the FIOS router.  I have three PC's and a printer in the house.  One desktop is connected to FIOS with the printer.  I have a laptop and another desktop both in other rooms.  Can someone tell me where I can find information on how to build my home network so that all three PC's and talk to one another and print to the same printer?

The two desktop PC's have XP and the laptop has Vista.

1. I believe you have a verizon wireless router.

2. If you have ethernet cabling extended to your room, then you can connect this PC to the router's LAN port, if not you need to extend it or can use wireless, provided you buy the wireless adapter for the PC.

3. Configure the Laptop wireless settings.

4. Is you printer a network printer? If so install the network printer drivers on all of them, then you are good to go.

Note: Ensure you have "Obtain IP address automatically" option checked on all the PCs network settings and also they are all on the same workgroup so you can have peer-peer home networking.

Hope this helps.
