When I upgraded my Verizon G router to the newest N model I of course noticed a significant improvement in wireless device performance. So now that 802.11AC routers are avaialable
I'm thinking maybe adding one of those would be a good idea.
Has anyone here had any experience with this new wireless standard?

I heard a rumor Verizon is coming out with an AC router at the end of this year.

Interesting rumor, but even if it is true there are myriad postings here (including one from myself) about how difficult/impossible it is for an existing customer to get a router upgrade. So I doubt it's very realistic to expect to get an AC capable router without buying it yourself.
Apparently it might be worth it though. Of course you have to verify that your wireless devices can handle the AC protocol.

Um, folks, it's August 2014. There's no excuse for Verizon to not offer and 802.11AC router with FIOS..... 'Just saying....
