I do not use the $10 a month security back up service, and I get a pop-up every hour or so telling me so! I have a pop-up blocker, but this is somehow different.
How do I make it go away?

There is two ways that I can think of that will do that.
One is that the Verizon In Home Agent (or Verizon Service Point) sees that you have a subscription to that on your account and you have not installed it yet. If thats the case and you dont want it, you need to have that removed from your account. You can do that by calling customer support and having it removed from your acct. Or you can go to the myverizon.com, sign in, go to "broadband essentials and extras". click on the Verizon security, and click cancel.
The other is just the windows balloon pop up system. If this is the problem, you can turn that off. We would need to know what version of windows you use to tell you how to turn that off.
