i go to 192.168.1.1 then i type in my verizon username and password but it says it is incorect.

Your "my verizon" username and password don't work on the router. If you have a recent model router the correct user name and password should be on the label. If it isn't try: "admin" & "password" (without the quotes)

Or admin password1, but at one point they were all changed to admin and the serial number, before the stickers were starting to be used. Yes admin password is the factory default if I remember. I believe only the newest routers should have a sticker with a default password other than the serial number. Perhaps Rev. F and I? I have two old ones on the shelf no stickers, Rev D & E.
Also just type in the password, and ignore the extra characters.
