In-House Agent fails.

I have several problems with the In-House Agent on 2 computers. I installed & updated the agent when I set up my home wireless connection on my laptop (Vista 32 bit). I was instructed to use the agent to configure my laptop (Vista 32 bit) for connection through the WiFi hotspots. Only the Home page shows anything. The Internet & Phone pages are completely blank so I can't configure the laptop. 2nd Problem (both computers) The "Live Chat" button shows as active, but there is absolutely no response when I click on it. 3rd Problem (desktop Win7 64bit) The graphics are screwed up. Sentences are cropped on the right side & the info is missing, text & buttons obscure text entry boxes, items aren't aligned properly, etc. I have a GTX 550 Ti graphics card with current drivers so that isn't the problem. Display is 1680x1050 (native). Resizing the window has no effect on the display or the problems. Help?

My bad are you using the version from here http://www22.verizon.com/ Support/Residential/inhomeagent/125513.htm ?

Personally I have never found a need for this software, anything related to setup or router mods I do by logging into the router. Every issue I have run into has been solved by the experts here and at DSLReports forum There are some suggetions here, I realize the issues are not exactly what you are seeing http://businessforums.verizon.net/t5/FiOS-Internet/In-Home-Agent-problem/td-p/162402/page/2

I assume you are running Windows, if no one has a better idea, try setting up a new user account and login with it, then install the agent to see if the issue persists.

Yes, Vista is Windows as is Win7. Are you saying to do that with both computers? What difference would that make?

I finally got the Live Chat button to work & the tech had no better luck with the blank pages issue than I did, including a reinstall from the source your link points to. I'm uninstalling it. Primarily, I wanted it on my old laptop so I could set up connectivity with Verizon wifi hotspots. The Tech wound up giving me the phone # for Ver. Wireless Support. 😕 I guess the only remaining issue is the graphics problem, but I don't really give a rat's tail anymore. I've *always* had issues with Verizon's apps over the years, and wound up ignoring them. grrr! I guess I'll give you an accept for this thread and open a new one for the hotspot connectivity issue. Thanks for your time.
