FIOS is imminent in our area. Verizon never reached us with DSL and we have only had dialup.
I was wondering if there is any type of non wireless device that would permit connection of 2 adjacent laptops or if the installation must be a wireless one and the fee would simply depend on the number of laptops plus a single wall outlet.
Thanks in advance to those who take the time to read and respond to this post.

The router that Verizon will provide has 4 wired ports and is also wireless capable. You an easily attach up to 4 wired devices, and if you need more in the future you can buy an inexpensive switch, connect that to one of the wired ports, and add many more devices.
There is no price difference depending on how many devices you attach to the router, wired or wireless.
