I live on Tampa and I have FIOS cable, internet, and telephone. On Thursday morning, we lost power in my house and when the electricity was restored neither the cable, internet nor telephone were working. I called Verizon, opened a ticket, and they told me that a technician needed to come and the problem will be resolve by Friday by 9:00pm. They did not give me a more specific time frame.
Friday I stayed home from work the entire day (no internet, so could not work) and waited for Verizon. As the hours went by, I started to get concerned about something not being right, so I called several times and each time they assured me that they will come and not to worry. In the end, no Verizon technician came and I never got a call from Verizon that they were not coming. My last call was at 9:30pm and they told us that they did not know what happened and to call Saturday morning. We called this morning and they told us that they could not come today because of weather problems in my area (which is not true since it is sunny in Tampa) and they opened a new ticket for tomorrow (Sunday). Again we don’t have a time frame and in the ticket says that the service will be restored by Sunday by 7:59pm. I doubt someone from Verizon will come Sunday, since there is poor communication between your telephone customer service representatives and the Verizon staff in Tampa. Every time that we call we get different answers, which is very frustrating.
Also we cannot keep waiting for someone from Verizon to show up. I already lost one day of work and it is likely that will happen Monday again. I can’t afford that. We also pay Verizon every month over $300 and we expect better service.
