Is Internet light supposed to be blinking periodically on ActionTec revision D?

I know that the LAN Ethernet light blinks if there are data activity, but how about Internet light?   I thought it was constant on before, but now it blinks occasionally and I seem to have some pauses to connectivity.

I already tried rebooting the router, and turning off wireless.

I have the Verizon Actiontec router and the Internet light blinks quite often. It indicates internet traffic, could be generated inside your network, PCs or STBs, or could be some bad guys trying to get in.

I never have experienced any pauses or breaks in connectivity.
