i have now switched out my entire network because verizon kept telling me my network was causing the lag. Eight months of calling and complaining and no one will help me. When i first got fios it was fine, but something changed almost a year ago and it's been getting worse by the week.
Here are a couple of my theories: Verizon's network can't handle the streaming media boom that has happened over the last 10 months(netflix, hulu, youtube, etc), or Verizon has started to throttle p2p(bittorrent) traffic and because a lot of xbox live traffic is p2p that gets bundled with it.
I can't be the only one that has noticed this. Anyone else?

Nope, wired connection no other bandwidth going. I even unplugged all my STBs to see if that would help. No dice. What sucks even more is I am less then a year into my two year contract and vz tells me it's $330 dollars to terminate early! I told them about the problems I am having but they just tell me it's microsofts servers. When I talk to MS they tell me it's verizon's fault.
Even if this problem is fixed before my contract ends, I will probably end up duming them anyways given how poor their customer service is.

you should put in another report, and push them to escelate it to their Network tech's, or put in a request at the VZ direct forums

I did that a few months ago. They had me run a few traceroutes, then told me everything was fine even though i knew that it wasn't. Now they won't even respond to my posts over there.
If they can't provide the service fine, I just wish they would admit to it and let me terminate my contract. It sucks paying this much for internet that I can't use for what i want, and knowing my friends on timewarner are paying 1/4 of what I am and getting great service. I also find it ironic that ISPs want to have tiered internet plans, but when someone complains of bad service all they offer is 2 months free of Shotime instead of prorating their plan.

Just spent a week talkiing with the twitter guy, and got a few calls from tech support trying to fix my connection. They basically said from there end they could see nothing wrong with my connection. Even after i sent them this video. I guess I'm going to call microsoft to see if they can pinpoint where the lag is coming and hopefully relay that info to vz.
