LG BP330 Blu-ray Disc Player Will Not Connect to Actiontec Router

I recently purchased a LG BP330 Blu-ray disc player.
I am trying to connect the Blu-ray player to the Actiontec MI424-WR modem/router.
During the set-up phase I've notice that Blu-ray disc recognises the IP address; however, it will not initiate a connection/join the network.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thank you.

At lot of these Blu-ray players really don't work unless you use WPA2 rather then WEP security. Only the newer model Actiontec routers default to WPA2. Try switching your router (and all wireless devices) to using WPA2.
Verizon's guide on switching to WPA2 is at http://www22.verizon.com/support/residential/internet/fiosinternet/networking/setup/security/125521....
