For the past 2 weeks, my FIOS connection keeps dropping.  I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works.

Thanks for your help.

p.s.  I have avast antivirus with Windows 7 home premium svc. pk. 1

If you have easy access to the ONT, try resetting it. I would try to get VZ to monitor your line, this should narrow down the issue so they can figure it out. Does anyone else in your area have similar issues?

The OP should try resetting the router first before the ONT.

To the OP:  When you say your "FIOS connection keeps dropping" do you mean your computer stops being connected to the Internet?  Do you have a wired or wireless connection to the router?

I already tried resetting the router.  When I say "FIOS connection keeps dropping" it means both my computer and my iPad.  I have an Actiontec wireless router hard wired to the computer.

thanks for your help.

I have also been having the same problem for well over a month. I have wireless. I will be working away on my computer and then my internet conectivity will be lost. I click on the icon in the lower right corner of my computer that shows I have lost internet connection and click on troublshoot. It always fixes it but not for long. I'd love to know why this is happening as well and what things I can try to fix it--beyond the obvious reboot. I lose connectivity 2 to 3 times everyday.

Thanks!
