Hi,a few questions on configuration please
1)it looks like the WPA2 preshared key is displayed in the clear and uploaded to the TV as well. Convenient in one way but
is there any way to prevent this?Did look around but there doesnt seem to be away to prevent this. The admin passwords are not displayed
Also, are router settings automatically visible to Verizon still via a backdoor?
The speficics as to build etc follow.
Firmware Version: | 40.21.18 |
Model Name: | MI424WR-GEN3I |
2) Saving the conf file is allowed but not apparently viewing it- it's encrypted. Is there a way to look at the config file after downloading it?
Thanks

You can setup a parental pin which will block the password from being displayed on the TV without the pin. You would have to peel the stickers off of the router if you do not want anyone to see the password. Verizon can still see what the password of the router is from their circuit view.

You can just change the wpa2 preshared key, however I think it will still be displayed on the TV, but at leat then you wouldn't have to go to the effort of erasing the password on the router's label. A reset to factory defaults would re-instate the original preshared key.
