Does anyone know if it is possible to get a second dynamic IP for my residential internet connection? I want to segregate IOT devices onto their own network independent of my PCs. Normally I would do this with a VLAN but the G1100 does not support VLANs. I know that I can replace the G1100 with my own router but thought that hooking up a second router to the ONT with its own dynamic IP as a dedicated IOT network would be easier.

As far as I know for Residential for IPv4, No.
If and when they deploy IPv6, yes.

The only way to get more than one IP address is to order business service.

If you don't user Verizon STB for TV service, go ahead and and use your own router instead of G1100
