I switched to Verizon Fios from Brighthouse networks which I had set up with a Net Gear WNDR 3300 Wireless Modem. When the Fios was installed my devices dont dee the wireless network from the Verizon MI424WR Router, I daisy Chained my Net Gear Router to it & my devices see my old named network running through Fios & I can connect. Why cant my devices see the Fios wireless router?

Logon to fios router. Make sure wireless is enable. Probably best to also change it to WPA2 security, some devices don't see WEP security. WEP security is the default for all but the latest models of the Verizon supplied routers.

Logged into router but wireless will not turn on eventhough i check the active box for it. cant think of anything other than a hardware issue. Do you know of any issues other than mine where the wireless will not turn on?

Nope. Sound like broken device. Contact them and they will probably replace for free.
