Why does my Netflix streaming movies stop & reload? It also the picture flashes on and off while watching. I have Fios so that should not happen?

are you streaming wirelessly?    or is that device connected to the router with an ethernet cable

It may be the device you are using to stream Netflix. I notice the problems you mention when I stream directly with my Samsung TV. However, I have no issues at all using my PS3.

I'm hard-wired and connection is slow and interrupted often. Hulu is worse so maybe it's them.

However speed test shows me that I'm not getting my promised speed either.

What sort of device are you using to speed test and watch Netflix on?
