That router could be built for the 5G Home side as well. The 5G side's Home Routers are technically more powerful than G3100 on the Fios side. They have 2.5G Ethernet ports already built in before the 5G Home can reach 1G in speed.

I spotted a listing for a new Arris unit. It looks a bit smaller than Verizon's G3100/E3200.

I am wondering whether NG-PON requires new fiber/splitter deployment. It seems no according to some technical documents. It only requires new ONT/OLT.
I have not found anything from Nokia yet. But, as a general word of caution, nobody should disclose proprietary or unpublished information here on the public section of the Forum.
