Hi
They changed out my broken Actiontec rev d modem for a Westell 9100EM, slimline rev A. I had used the Actiontech as a router behind a Netgear, because of this. The actiontech was used only for MOCA on the STB boxes (this procedure is documented in DSL Reports).
Using this method, I could stay on a VPN for DAYS.
Well, my modem died, so they replaced it and I set it up in the normal format since the NAT connection problem is fixed.
Looking through the modem screens, I see it allows appro 155000 nat connections, which seems to be a good thing since the Actiontec was crippled in that regard.
I am a big P2P user, and see my connections around 1400 or so.
I am seeing net disconnects of vpn sessions TO work and others, that I did not see with my Netgear
and the message in my log file something like:
No NAT IPs available, your connections might be interrupted
This message repeated 10 times
I see that all through the log. Always when I lose my VPN connection.
I've even turned off the p2p program, and still see it
Any idea where this comes from?
