Not able to access Https portal

Switched from DSL to Fios this past week.

Am no longer able to access my secure work portals from home (Fios)

Spoke with Verizon and manufactoer of FIOS router.

Route trace caues the packet to be dropped onse it hits quest network. (one of 3 hops after it leaves verizon)

Back to verizon agent, he states since resiential uses DHCP, I will have to get a Static IP which will most likly cost me the same as a bussiness account instead of resintial.

Was also told to post on this forum to see if any smart folks can help me.

This sucks should of stayed with DSL apprently.

Thanks

#1 Can you show us the route?

It may have some clues as to what is going on.

#2 What is the brand, model, and ver of your router? For example Actiontech, MI-424-WI, D.

Seems like the router after qwest is droping ICMP traffic. Many secure networks filter ICMP traffic and do not pass the traceroute data.

Can you supply the URL you are trying to reach?

Are you able to get to a login screen or anything?

Are you able to get to any non secure public pages at the same location?

I access secure citrix site all the time. I use a RSA SecureID encryption key with no problems. Hard to troubleshoot without more information. I can understand why you would not provide it. I don't think I would give out urls to my work's secure sites. What errors are you getting? I did s search on the Citrix web site and there are many possible reasons. Citrix MetaFrame Citrix Presentation Server??? There are many Citrix custom server applications also. So it is difficult to tell what your issue might be..

http://search.citrix.com/search?q=can+not+connect&goSearch.x=0&goSearch.y=0&output=xml_no_dtd&client...

If you are able to access other servers on the domain, and just not the Cirtix server, I would say it is an SSL error, and Cirtix has many trouble shooring tipe. I would say it could be something on the router may be blocking it. What router do you have?

I am using a Westell router.

Use Citrix on a daily basis for months, Citrix web client and full ICA client via Citrix Access Gateway protected by RSA card

Server 4.5 and 5, server desktops also custom pub apps.

"Back to verizon agent, he states since resiential uses DHCP, I will have to get a Static IP which will most likly cost me the same as a bussiness account instead of resintial."

Kind of meaningless comment, highly unlikely that having a dhcp defined ip address would be of issue to a public network portal, is intersting that it worked with adsl, guess it was dhcp too wasn't it?

What kind of Citrix access control is being used?
