Is it possible to use PFSense as my main router and still keep all the functions of DVR, Caller id...etc?

If so, does anyone have a step by step?

The above poster pointed you in the right direction. I've used this method for many installs, and it works every time. Its always possible to use your own router and keep TV services, despite what is sometimes said about loss of service.
