For about a day now my internet has been really slow...I called up verizon...been on the phone with a level 1 verizon tech for atleast an hour now.

I am getting 6MBPS down and 2MBPS up (I am paying for 75Mbps/35). I tested via SpeedTest.NET and Verizon's speed test.

I did all the usually stuff. I removed all other computers from the network. I have just one laptop hooked up via Ethernet.

I went into the router and turned off the wireless radio to prove its not any devices sucking up my bandwidth.

I powered off the router, i reset the router (lost all my settings), the tech rebooted the ONT box or whatever its called. I am at a loss. I work from home and this is insane.

I did the fancy software install to fix my buffer limit. Really guys?

I am so sick of the service issues.

About 3 weeks ago my internet was down for about a day. It came back up and ever since then I am getting notified constantly via the Verizon FIOS app on my phone of an estimated time for my outage to be repaired. But I have no outage (or do I?!?!). Ended up removing the app. Unsubscribed from notifications emails.

I am being bombarded for no reason.

My TV service is also very choppy (thhis has been happening for about a week). My phone service is fine.

Please can an expert contact me.

I am about done, they want to send out another router and have me wait.

I asked for a tech to come out they want to charge me.

Guys, I am asking for help not because I want to stream a movie on netflix. I work out of my home and use the internet to VPN into my job.

Please i just need someone to listen to me. I am so frustrated. I can't even have a regular conference call with my boss anymore.

It is your ont. It is what controls your tv, internet, phone where if there is something wrong with it all three services can be down at once or they can all go one by one.  Your phone is working right now but it would not be a surprise if it turned out that too at some point went dead. If it were to happen then verizon could actually be held aacountable for that because you need to have the ability to call 911 just in case there is a fire or a crime committed in the area so it is something that verizon should remedy asap. There could be an outage in your area that you may not be aware of that they are working on and are trying to notify you via text messages. One thing that you can try to do is a live chat online with someone from verizon and right before you enter into the live chat you will get a message indicating whether there is indeed an outage in your area. If there is one it will indicate there is an outage and if you want more details about it to click there but if nothing pops up then you can proceed with the chat where they can send someone out at no cost. Just because one person tells you there is a cost to send someone out that does not mean there is one. If you talk to 10 different verizon employees about the same issue you get 10 different responses. Another thing you can do is list where it is that you are at so that if there are other people on here from that area they can confirm if it is an issue for them too. By posting that info it can help verizon address the matter a lot quicker if there are more people who have those same issues.
