Poor FIOS performance in Annapolis MD

Hi - I recently moved from Columbia MD to Annapolis MD - FIOS in both locations.

FIOS performance in Columbia was excellent but FIOS in Annapolis is poor.

I have been in Annapolis for just over a year now and am fed up to the point where I am actually thinking of

going back to Comcast! I know, what a sad situation.

Its not the wifi and interference from electronic devices since I checked with both wireless and wired connections plus different routers. Session dropouts, not able to use any kind of streaming apps - the situation just keeps getting worse.

Has anyone figured out a solution (other than comcast)?

thanks - pd

Just a friendly reminder, this is a forum where users help other users. If you are having an issue with your Verizon service, you can use the Verizon Troubleshooter to fix and report issues with your Verizon Phone, FiOS TV, or Internet Service, as well as to schedule a repair, here is the link:

You can find tools on the Verizon Residential Support page that may help you diagnose your issue:

LC - thanks for the reply. I have been through the pages and have tried the  Broadband Speed Test and  FiOS Speed Optimizer. Walked through the self-diagnosis (router reboot etc). I wanted to try everything I could before initiating a formal repair request but it looks like that is my next choice. It looks like verizon is performing traffic shaping but it is misconfigured.
