Port forwarding problem.

Hello, I'm trying to use a program but it's telling me that a port isn't open. How would I go about opening a port?

#2 What software firewall is on your computer?

#3 What program are you talking about?

The best site I have found for that issue is http://www.portforward.com/ . You just choose the model of your router, then choose the application that is trying to access that port and it gives you step by step with screenshots.
