Hi,
Could use some help. Strongly considering FIOS, but have an issue.
I actually don't want a wireless router. Is it possible to either get a router without it or if not to somehow turn it off?
Thanks a bunch for the help.

You can turn the wireless feature off if you don't wish to use wifi.
It is very easy to turn wifi on or off.

Accept the Wireless router they give you, and disable the Wireless. That's it 🙂

You can disable the wireless portion (the radio) of all wireless routers. The device is actually two in one if you think about it. Its a router allowing multiple connections to a single Ethernet connection AND it's a radio transceiver for PC, TV's, any 802.11g (in this case) enabled device. You can shut off the radio part and still have the 4 ports available for plugging 4 separate devices directly in to it via Ethernet cables. So, don't let your worry of the wireless portion of the device scare you off. I'm actually running it that way here myself. I have the radio off, local devices cabled to it direct (using the router ports), and a moca in another room where I have another router connected that does have radio on all my portable devices. Works like a charm.
