I have a strange problem. When I am trying to find my email server from work on my iPhone it works fine when on 3G, but cannot find it when connected to Fios through wifi using my home router. Works fine when using wifi on networks other than Fios. Any thoughts on why the difference between 3G and wifi?

not sure who your 3g provider is, but when on Wifi, you are on the VZ network, and VZ blocks outgoing port 25 for email servers and spam protection. So check your settings and the server port numbers, and make sure you are using the following.
wwwv.verizon.com/emailsettings
Your 3g Provider may not block that port where the Verizon ISP does.

My 3G provider is Verizon. So when I'm home and my iPhone is on 3G I can log into my work email server with no problems and get and send emails. If iPhone is on fios wifi it says that the server cannot be found on the network.

try smtp outgoing port 465 and check both boxes, if that doesn't work then check with your it dept.
