Just rebooted my Verizon MI424WR router, before I had ports forwarded and they were working correctly. Go through the same process and the ports are not open. I have pinged the ports and they are not open. Any clues why this would be not working all of a sudden? I know how to forward the ports, then even just doubled checked with portforward.com still got nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks

#1 In your router go to Advanced -> IP Address Distribution
#2 What is the Starting and Ending IP Address?

If you are forwarding to static addresses you need to remove them from the dhcp servers assignment range.
If you forwarded to dhcp assigned IP addresses in the port forwarding rule it's possible the destination device addresses changed following the reboot.

Ok.
#1 Change the Starting IP Address so that it is 50
#2 On the computer that you want to host on, setup a Static IP
a) http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
b) The Static IP must be above 1 but below 50
For example 192.168.1.6
#3 In the router forward to the IP Address that you setup.
#4 Still not working, please post.

Anyone having port forwarding issue may want to check their router firmware revision and read this thread. From this link and start at the top of the thread if you wish full details.
