A new router (Rev. I) seems to have solved my problem. Files that previously produced a different MD5 checksum every time I downloded them, on two separate PC's, are now all downloading correctly.

The new actiontec router offered by Verizon fixed the same exact issues I had. It was corrupting my PC and even my Playstation 4 downloads

Theoretically no. However when I changed mine on my 75/35 service which was testing at 60/20 on moca it went to 84/34 on ethernet.
It's a necessity if you have 100+ quantum speeds as Moca won't carry above 100 Mb
