Question about 'setup Fios router'
Myung
Newbie

I have two surveillance systems(two different computer and each computer has a different software) in my store.

I have one static IP.

One surveillance system needs a http port #80, the other needs http port #81

How can I set it up? I searched router setup window but couldn't figured it out.

Do I have to use port forwarding?...then how?

Please help me...Thanks.

yes port forwarding.

First you want to assign your PC's individual private static ip addresses   one PC can be 192.168.1.20, and another can be 192.168.1.21

use the same subnet 255.255.255.0

and same default gateway for both 192.168.1.1

go to the router interface (to do that, open internet explorer, and use 192.168.1.1 for the website address -> use admin for the username and -> password1 for the password)

click on firewall settings on the top menu

click on port forward on the left hand menu

accept the warning

click add

click specify an ip address

place pc 1's ip address in the field

specify your protocol in the next section as http

leave it as

TCP Any -> 80

do the same for the other pc, make sure to use "its" ip address

and then protocol and set it up to be

TCPany  -> 81

hit apply.

that should succesfully port forward to those two ports.

 IF I missed anything, then go to portforward.com and you can get step by step instructions there for actiontec model number mi424wr
