Remote DVR when FIOS router is not primary

Sorry and I know this topic has been discussed extensively in the past but I will ask the question again:

I am currently running the Actiontec Router as Primary Router and everything works the Internet and TV.  I want to use a different router due to the limited NAT table.  I haveone HD DVR STB and 2 standard def STB's.

If I want to use a different router connected to the Internet and move the Actiontec Router inside my network will I lose the remote DVR functionality?  When I say remote DVR I mean the ability to program my DVR from the Internet.

What does one have to do in order to have the ability to use remote DVR when the Actiontec Router is not primary?  I would prefer all my devices to plug into my new router and bridge the actiontec router but if that is not possible kindly tell me what I need to do.  I'm trying to keep all of my existing functionality (media center, remote DVR, etc.).

Thanks, Jim
