Returning FiOS wireless stuff

Hi,

I cancelled my FiOS internet as of Sept 6 because I had to move out of the country.  Noone ever came to pick up the Verizon FiOS stuff, and now I can't call to get this information from abroad (for some reason it does not work).

I need to know where I can have it dropped off, or shipped to. I need to know it will definitely be received, as I would not appreciate being charged unfairly.

My FiOS location was Arlington VA 22204.

Any help??

If you had the service for over a year... as far as I know, the "wireless stuff" the actiontec/westell router, is yours......

Any Set-top boxes (for the TV) would need to be returned.... you can use the "Contact Us" link and use the chat and speak with billing to have a shipping lable sent... and/or take the equipment to any Official UPS location.

UPS should now how and where to send the equipment

You are supposed to be able to take FiOS equipment to any UPS store, and they are supposed to pack it up and return it to Verizon. I have tried that once, and the UPS store admitted the contract with Verizon, but said they weren't being paid by Verizon, and refused to accept the equipment. (UPS has subsequently admitted that it does happen). Anyway I told UPS and Verizon I had done as they asked, and the choice was I either turn it over to the local police as abandoned property, or they could make arrangement to pick it up. I wasn't going to spend another afternoon to go to another UPS store for a repeat performance.

Plan B is Verizon can sent you prepaid UPS shipping labels. Just pack the equipment up, and put on the labels. You can drop off the packages at any UPS store location, or anywhere else you can find a UPS pickup, in fact, you can even flag down a UPS truck. In general if it has a prepaid UPS label on it, UPS drivers are required to accept it.

Plan C is that if you make enough noise, they will in fact send a truck out to pick up the equipment.
