My wifi speed always is considerably less than the 50/50 I pay for, and it varies a lot. When I tried to add a few more devices (LIFX light bulbs) I could not access wifi. So, the people at LIFX said to get eero or google wifi and use the Verizon Gateway router as a bridge. I went with Orbi and reconfigured the Gateway as a bridge. When I went to add the lights to my wifi, I couldn't....the light bulbs were not recognized. Do I need to replace the Gateway router? I have Nest thermostats, smoke detectors, cameras, roomba, Iphone, TV, etc. all on the current wifi.
Although I don't have those specific devices, I have never had an issue with connecting any WIFI devices to my Verizon router.
I have phones, tablets, PCs, smart tvs, Roku.
