Samsung bluray (BD C5500) with wireless USB adapter fails to connect to Actiontec router

I have the official Samsung USB wireless adapter connected to my Samsung BD C5500 bluray player.  I also have a Verizon Fios Actiontec MI424-WR Rev E router.

I used to have this bluray player connected wireless to this router, but I moved it and now have moved it back.  I can't, for the life of me, get it to connect.  During the Samsung network test I pass the

MAC Address test

IP Address, Subnet Mas, Gateway, DNS Server test

but I fail the Gateway Ping test.

Any advice?

In the past the adapter Samsung uses didn't handle long passphrases very well and only worked well with a moderate long WPA2 passphrase.  I had to truncate my passphrase to 18 bytes (not ideal) to make it work.  Makes me choice to update more frequently.

Try reentering your router credentials.  If that doesn't solve the problem,  reset the bluray player to factory defaults, then go through the set up routine.  That will probably be the easiest and fastest way to restore connectivity.
