Significantly slower internet speeds

Hi,

Recently I've been getting significantly slower internet download speeds. I've tried the standard things: restarting router ensuring all connections are proper, etc. I am directly connected to my router via ethernet cord, but my internet speeds have dropped from 50 mbps DL to 1-5 mbps DL the past couple days. There has been no change in usage in our house; the speeds have just inexplicably dropped.

One possibility is a bad network card in your computer.  Can you check it with a second computer.

Also, if normal internet activity is OK, the speed test could be misleading.  Have you tried other speed test sites?  Sometimes the servers at test sites get overloaded, or have other problems, resulting in erroneous results.

Next step would be to contact customer support.  There isn't much else you can do if the wired connection is slow.

I'm having the exact same issue.   It started over the weekend.  Any luck on finding out the source of the issue?  I can transfer to my NAS drive at full speed so it's definately internet (WAN) related.  I'm on the typical support chat now where they have tried rebooting my router like 20 times.
