I'm having the same issues in Arlington VA. I'm supprised that a week after the storm in NYC, I'd be having issues with speed. Pretty disappointing...

My internet slowed down at least two weeks before Sandy. I have done the usual shut down unplug for a few minutes and restart / reboot then things are fine for a while. I finally called to ask what was wrong. The tech I talked to had me do the same thing I had been doing but added pushing the reset button. I tried to explain that I had been doing most of these steps sometime three or four times a day. I could not get him to understand I don't think he had good grasp of the English language. All he kept saying is no worries it won't happen again and it didn't for a good two hours. I am ready to go back to Cox cable the speak English there.
