Are there any known issues going on in Tampa the past couple of days?
Since Monday afternoon my speeds have consistently tested at around .5 Mbps up and down. Prior to that I would consistently get 22-25 Mbps down and 12-15 Mbps up. I'm on the 25/15 plan. Absolutely nothing has changed on my computer. Was working fine on Sunday, got home from work on Monday and speed had dropped.
I've tried it on several computers on my network and am getting the same results. Every once in awhile I get a download test where it should be, but that's maybe 1 out of 10 tests.
I've run the speedtests using speedtest.verizon.net and www.speedtest.net. I've also done some large file downloads from various high speed sites and am seeing poor performance there too (so it's not just a testing artifact).
Traceroutes have been hit or miss. Just ran it right now and most hops are under 100ms going to www.verizon.net. Yesterday I was seeing a lot of hops in the 700-900ms range.
So is there something going on on the network? Planning on calling in tomorrow but figured I'd post and avoid the call if there's a known issue.
Thanks
Matt

Go ahead and call because something is wrong with your connection for sure. You shouldn't have 100ms pings to their website. I would make sure you don't have any file sharing programs running and scan your network for viruses. If you are negative for both of those issues call Verizon. My pings are under 20ms.

I definitely have a clean network. My home LAN is pretty secure. I even shut down every box except a clean machine that I built last week and still have the problem from it.
