Switching from coaxial to Ethernet when I have TV as well.

Hi so basically I want to game with the best connection possible. Which is a direct Ethernet connection with no splitters. Currently I have a coaxial setup and our computers/consoles are connected through an actiontec power line adapter since our house isn't wired for Ethernet. My question is how can I make it so I am gaming on an Ethernet connection while still having VoD and all that.

All I want is my xbox 360 to be connected to the ONT through Ethernet, keep all guide info and VoD, and still be able to connect the desktops through the power line adapters. Nobody but me in the house care about having an Ethernet connection to the ONT so all that matters is the xbox 360. Is there anything I can do?

You still need to connect to the router (probably an Actiontec MI424WR).  If you want to go ethernet, you need to run ethernet cable from the ONT to the router and from the router to your XBox 360 AND have Verizon reprovision you for Ethernet.  Note your router would than have connection to the ONT both with COAX and Ethernet.

I'll add that unless you have a high speed tier 150 mbps or more you're really not going to see much of a difference by switching. Some actually see worse speeds believe it or not.
