Thunderbird email program not sending email out.

I getting email coming in my verizon.yahoo.net,but can not send out...techman28 or anybody have the settings for this?? I am stumped...tried port SMTP port 587 still pouces back.

I am using T-Bird also these are the settings that are working for me

Server Name: outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

Port: 587

User Name: your Email before the @verizon.net

of course if you are using yahoo you would input the service you are using

Can you be more specific about the problem? Are you getting an error message? If so, then what does the error message say?

Whenever asking for help, it is usually necessary to be more specific than "doesn't work" or "can not". What do you mean by "can not"?

I get the password window and put in the right password,but the window pops back up.Only after I cancel the window box I get error message.

I am using verizon.yahoo.net error message tells me to go to yahoo help website after telling me server wont repond to address given.

I found the problem...use TLS in the outgoing send for port 587 on T-Bird...Thanks anyway
