I just got a new router for an extra$10/month and got a warning I should change the settings. I researched and found this https://www.verizon.com/support/residential/internet/fiosinternet/networking/setup/security/125521.h...
and it doesn't list the router you just sent me.It's a Fios G11000 according to the back of the router.
Why isn't the information about this router listed?
How do I "
Change your wireless network from WEP to WPA2 or WPA"

I don't have a G1100 but if you go to this link you can click on and download the user guide for the G1100 in .pdf format:
Page 36 of the guide states that the default WiFi security setting is WPA2.
Clicking down a few more pages will explain how to check your WiFi status and change it if need be.

I believe this router defaults to WPA2 as do all the Actiontec version G and I's.
