I recently upgraded my bundle and I'm supposed to have the 35/35 internet pkg but my internet has been slower than ever. I ran the speed test and it says 8/5??? How do I get this fixed?

With a wireless connection many things can affect your speed. However, if it was running fast before you can always try and run the fios optimizer on your computer if you are using IE since sometimes browser settings by default have difficulty handling the faster speeds. Don't, however, expect to see 35/35 with a wireless connection. Best way to find your true internet speed is to hardwire to your router and run the speedtest again.
Hardwire to your router to test your speed. This helps determine if it's an issue with your line or just the wireless network. The troubleshooting to be done is different depending on the actual issue.
The unpleasant reality is that very few Verizon supplied routers support 802.11n, most can only run 802.11g, which in theory can get to 54mbps. That requires ideal conditions that don't exist for the vast majority of users. There is noise, and there are other applications in the spectrum that is used for 802.11b/g that can and do interfere (like your neighbor's wireless network, and cordless telephones). There is no shortage of impediments to reaching the 54mpbs via 80211g wireless.
The real world is such that it is very hard to get wireless speeds above about 10mbps on 802.11g network, and if you are actually running 802.11b, you are unlikely to be able to get to 10mbps.
So if you want to get somewhere near your 35/35 connection speed via wireless, you probably need to invest in 802.11n equipment for both your computer and your router. Absent that, the only way you are likely to get near the 35/35 performance you have is via a hardwired connection.
